Description

These two mugs were promotional items for Amtrak's Washington, DC - Chicago overnight train, the
Capitol Limited
during its early years of operation in the 1980s. The made-in-U.S.A. glass mugs are etched with "CAPITOL LIMITED CHICAGO-WASHINGTON" AND "AMTRAK" with the railroad's first generation arrow logo. They are each 3 5/8" high and about 3" in diameter, with a maximum capacity of about 12 fluid ounces.
One mug is free of any chips, cracks or scratches and the other has numerous small scratches (see photos). Sold as the pair in these photos.
