Description

Vintage Maryland State seal pin brooch, with motto "FATTI MASCHII PAROLE FEMINE" etched on the bottom along the ribbon section. It is in golden color, with the center piece enameled. It has an American Eagle statuette standing on top, which makes it a rare and unique piece, since most of the Maryland state seals have no statuette of American Eagle attached on top of the seal unit.
"Fatti Maschii Parole Femine" is an Italian proverb, which can be translated directly as "manly deeds, womanly words", and understood as "strong deeds, gentle words".
